Group SVP Head of Global Technology Strategy, Digital Transformation and Technology, Telenor
I am 41 years old. I am married to Line, we have three children and we live in Bangkok, Thailand.
I am a determined leader with 21 years of experience in leadership. I graduated as an officer from The Danish Army and have 13 years of leadership and operational experience from the army. Different positions and secondment in Iraq and Afghanistan have given me a unique opportunity to try all facets of leadership. As an officer in the army it is fundamental to lead, motivate, coach and create followers.
I have now worked 10 years in the Telco industry (Telenor). I have worked in various CXO-1 positions in the Technical and commercial Division in Telenor Denmark. In 2014 I took over for the CNO in DK and get the EtE technology responsibility.
In August 2015 I moved to Asia to lead a Technical Transformation Program covering Telenor’s footprint in Asia (Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Pakistan and India). Later I was appointed as the CMO for Telenor’s Global Service Company. As a fundamental part of the CMO role there was a demand to transform from classical voice services to data and digital services and based on that transformation create growth across all regions (Middle East, Asia, Europe and America). in marts 2017 I was appointed as SVP and Head of Telenor’s Technology Strategy with the main task to secure the digital transformation across Telenor’s footprint.
The experience from both Technology and Commercial give me a Unique foundation to understand how we can utilize the technology in a commercial perspective. To be a successful CMO you need to understand the digital opportunities and as a CTO you need to be able to translate Technology into Commercial value.
